Rene Marie Russo, an American film director and actress who is a former supermodel is also a director of films. Known for her elegant beauty her longevity in the highly intense film industry is a reflection of her skills and talent as a performer. Her career began as a model for fashion in the 1970s. The model quickly climbed to the top of this industry. As early as the 1990s, she began studying acting and theatre. After that, in Los Angeles and California she made her first stage appearance. in 1987 Russo played Eden Kendell on ABC's show Sable. The following year, she played Tom Berengers love interest in her first film Major League. Many critics were skeptical of her acting skills but her consistent performances won them over. Her performance in Wolfgang Petersens Outbreak was particularly appreciated by reviewers, since she stood up to Dustin Hoffman or Morgan Freeman. She has admitted that she's uninterested in acting. In 2005, she took her own self-imposed time off. After that, she made her return by playing a character in the action film Thor. Her husband's Oscar-winning movie Nightcrawler was another of her performances. Then she went on to star in light-hearted comedies such as The Intern and Just Getting Started.
Rose Namajunas is one of the most successful female athletes within the UFC. She started out as an amateur fighter who was a participant in regional promotions prior to joining Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she signed up for The Ultimate Fighting Championships. Since joining the UFC her name has grown into known as a household name because of her achievements both in and out of the octagon. Namajunas came into the world on the 29th of June on the 29th of June, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigration family. Rose participated in kickboxing and basketball during her youth. Her first appearance professionally at age 18 at the Invicta Fighting Championships and she won two bouts by submission. This caught the attention of Dana White who signed her to be a part of the UFC Strawweight in December 2014 at just twenty-two years of age. Rose is a fighter who has seen highs and lows during her professional career yet she always emerges winning. Rose took on Carla Esparza in April 2015 to win the Women's Strawweight Champion. She won the fight via technical knockout in just 3 minutes of the opening round. This was the first ever occasion that a female fighter competed to win a title in every major promoter in the world. Namajunas then went on to take home a number of other victories. She also beat Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, earning her Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
